BEAUTIFUL BELGIAN DRAFTS FREE TO GOOD HOME

Teeny and Tiny are currently owned by Karla Fuller who lives near Central City, Colorado. The family has fallen on hard times and the two beautiful drafts are up for adoption, free to a good home. Here is what Karla writes:

"Teeny needs surgery on his left eye (oculectomy) for cancer before the fly season starts. Dr. Debbie Mayo in Golden can perform the surgery for $500 but we don't have the money. Both are trained for pulling.

He will be fine in a pulling team as it is his inside eye. His paperwork says he is 18 or 19. Tiny is also a Belgian draft and his paperwork says he is the same age as Teeny but our vet thought he was younger. We want them to go together since they have been a pair forever and are deeply bonded.

We also have Star, a registered paint quarterhorse mare who can be used for light riding at age 26. She is sound but has an old injury to her right rear leg that she keeps opening up for some reason. Thank you so much for your help."

HARMONY HORSEWORKS is fundraising to contribute to the $500 and we ask anybody who can donate to please send a check to Debbie Mayo, DVM in Golden, CO. This beautiful draft can continue to lead a productive life once the cancer is removed in the oculectomy. Contact info for Karla is below:

Don’t Let Them Starve! If you are unable to feed your horses due to economic hardship & you would like to give them away for free to good homes, please contact RMR. We will run a free classified ad for you. Rocky Mountain Rider Magazine. 800-509-1537, 406-363-4085. classifieds@rockymountainrider.com

Beware of Deceit — If you are considering giving away a horse or horses, to either an individual party or to a group (like a rescue operation), take the time to learn as much as you can about that individual or group. We have heard of dishonest individuals or groups which claim they are taking horses to find them good homes, only to turn around and sell them for slaughter.
