13th
Annual Utah Wild Horse and Burro Festival Rescheduled
Due
to concerns surrounding the EHV-1 virus
SANDY,
UTAH— The 13th Annual Wild Horse and Burro Festival, hosted by the Bureau of
Land Management (BLM), slated for May 20-21 at the Salt Lake County Equestrian
Park in South Jordan has been rescheduled for August 26-27 at the same location.
The postponement is due to health concerns surrounding the EHV-1 virus
(Equine Herpes Virus).
“The health of all horses is important. Postponing the festival is a
protective measure that will allow the veterinary community to investigate how
far reaching the EHV-1 virus is in the state and determine any precautions that
should be taken,” Utah Wild Horse and Burro Lead Gus Warr said.
For more information regarding the rescheduling of the 13th Annual Utah Wild
