Colorado Horse Council December 2010 Newsletter

Happy Holidays!

It has been a great year at the Council and much has been accomplished.  We just had a wonderful Annual Meeting and those in attendance provided good input for the future and elected a full slate of Directors to help guide the organization. When thinking back on the past 12 months and reflecting on the hundreds of equestrians I have met, I believe that our horse community has the passion and enthusiasm to get back in the saddle!

Our new CHC Affiliate Program allows for the membership of all horse clubs and organizations to get involved and become aware of the happenings in our horse community. As you renew your membership in your local and state horse organizations be certain that they have renewed their 2011 membership to CHC so that you can take advantage of this great Affiliate opportunity and the value it provides you as horse owners.

The Rocky Mountain Horse Expo planning going full steam ahead. Various groups, clinicians and vendors are preparing to participate in what is to be one of the most educational, enjoyable and enlightening Expos ever! Be certain that you go to our website (www.ColoradoHorseCouncil.com) to see the latest updates. While you are at it, why not purchase tickets for your "Horsey Friends" as a Holiday gift surprise? They will love it and you'll enjoy going with them. If you are planning on participating in any part of the Expo, all forms can be found online to get you registered.

One of the greatest achievements that has been accomplished this year is the meetings with horse enthusiasts and equine business owners through club and town meetings. We are fortunate to have the support of the Colorado Horse Development Authority (CHDA) to make that happen. These encounters have reunited and introduced many individuals to the work of the Colorado Horse Council and have help carve our direction for the future. On behalf of our entire Board, staff and volunteers, we wish you a Happy Holidays and look forward to a prosperous New Year!

Best Regards,
Bill Scebbi

Executive Director
Colorado Horse Council
