NRHA Celebrates 70,000th

– The National Reining Horse Association (NRHA)
is proud to announce that it recently completed the Association’s 70,000th
membership. Charles McDaniel of
Albuquerque
,
New Mexico
purchased a yearly general membership at the NRHA International Headquarters
and earned the distinction of being the 70,000th person added to the
rolls.
2011
has been an exciting year full of many “firsts” for the Association. NRHA
welcomed inaugural events such as the NRHA European Derby, NRHA Cowtown Classic,
Interscholastic Reining Championship and the 4-H / NRHA Youth Reining
Championship. Steve Tyner became the first-ever Green Reiner 1
Montana
Silversmiths Buckle winner and Conquistador Whiz became the first, third
generation NRHA Million Dollar Sire. In addition, the NRHA Nomination Program
will pay out approximately $597,000 in new added money to the program’s first
crop of foals at the 2011 NRHA Futurity. With these great milestones being
achieved, NRHA is sure to continue the tradition of excellence for many years to
