8, 2009 - Dillon, MT. Treasure State Hunt Update & Next Hunt Hello
TSH members, friends and hunt enthusiasts.Two days ago Caroline and Brian
Bielser took me on an exhibition to discover the undiscovered hunt country.
SURPRISE, not far from the barn and kennels I discovered thousands od acres that
we all own(BLM,State, and USFS) along with a reservoir of water and lots of
ponds. Water is crucial for the hounds and horses. I cannot wait when I return
to Dillon from my university duties to ride that great country. By the way, when
we hunt on October the 4th, we will be hunting this new territory. TSH has
graciously accepted the offer of Dr. Marvin Beeman, President of the MFHA and a
long time huntsman to draft several English Foxhounds to us. I cannot wait
to visit with him sometime in November. Also, Dr. Lynn Brown DVM, Caroline
Bielser and I have a meeting schedule tro discuss, and plan breeding selected
hounds with all of the complications and pleasures that go with breeding for
2010. I do want to thank Catherine Mee for renewing her 2010 membership, and I
am looking forward to hunting with her in October when she is no longer chasing
cows!!!By the way, the TSH season will be the regular calender year. We will
adjust the hunting season as we see fit and pending on the weather conditions.
Do not forget to let me know who will be attending the blessing and dinner Oct.
