Parelli to Sell Florida Campus, Focus on World Tour

and International Expansion

Parelli Natural Horsemanship, the world leader in at-home horsemanship education has announced plans to sell their 120 acre Ocala , Florida campus. A few select courses will take place at the Florida campus during the fall of 2011. Courses scheduled in Pagosa Springs, CO, Kenilworth, Warks. United Kingdom and Wilton , NSW Australia will proceed as planned.

“It was a hard decision to sell our Florida campus as it is filled with dear memories for the whole worldwide Parelli community and of course we will have to regretfully consolidate our staff based the needs of just one location. However difficult though, it is the right decision for the future,” says Neil Pye, Media Director for Parelli Natural Horsemanship.

“The world, particularly the horse-owning world, is undergoing a time of such immense change. The way people experience learning, their friends, their family, their entertainment is all evolving in this increasingly digital age. We are finding we can touch the lives of more horse owners than ever before digitally, in a very real way that makes horse ownership more fun and fulfilling for the widest audience.”

“The cost and complication of maintaining two campuses in this increasingly digital world and in an environment where 45% of our business is done overseas no longer makes sound business sense, so we are adjusting to be responsible stewards of our resources and our customers’ experience with the Parelli brand,” says Pye.

Far from resting on its laurels, Pye says Parelli is gearing up for an ambitious 2012.

“Next year marks our 30th Anniversary. It’s hard to believe that so much has changed in such a short time. When Pat started, the term ‘natural horsemanship’ wasn’t even in use – he and Linda led this amazing revolution and literally coined the phrase that so many talented individuals now use as their own. Pat and Linda are invigorated to pioneer the way into a new era. We’re preparing for the U.S. leg of a world tour like nothing the horse industry has ever seen before, as well as gearing up exciting new offerings and expansions to our product line. Our instructor network has expanded to the extent that we’ll also be offering more advanced courses globally, not just at campus locations going forward,” says Pye.
