Montana Pro Rodeo Hall & Wall of

Fame’s Annual Western Party

      The 10th annual Cowboy & Cowgirl Reunion, presented by the Montana Pro Rodeo Hall and Wall of Fame will be held on January 26, 2013. The event will be held at the Holiday Inn Grand in Billings , MT , from 1:00 – 11:00 p.m.

     The theme is “The Year of the Cowgirl.” Invited guests for the event include former governor and former Miss Rodeo Montana , Judy Martz, along with former World Champion barrel racers Martha Josey, Kay Blandford and Sharon Camarillo.

     Known as “The Best Western Party of the Year,” the event supports the rodeo scholarship program which is open to Montana high school seniors.

     The event kicks off with a meet-and-greet, before heading in for the night’s festivities which include honoring legends, ranches, rodeo families and ranch committees.

     Guests can enjoy a delicious prime rib dinner (price $75 per plate) and bid on items in the live and silent auctions. This year, the live auction features a custom-made chuck wagon and custom saddle to auction off.

     All proceeds go to the scholarship program, which awards $37,000 each year. The program is the largest of its kind in the nation.

     Special awards sponsored by Montana Silversmiths will be given for best dressed, best hat, best western blouse, best buckle and best boots.

     The Montana Rodeo Hall and Wall of Fame is a non-profit corporation committed to honoring Montana professional rodeo cowboys and cowgirls who represent Montana ’s Western heritage, made possible by the maintenance of a monument site located near the entrance to the MetraPark Arena in Billings , Montana .

     The scholarship program exists to assist Montana high school rodeo competitors further their education towards a Bachelor’s degree, and pursue their interest in amateur rodeo sports at the college level.

     The Montana Pro Rodeo Hall and Wall of Fame scholarships awarded to recipients are largely funded by the sale of replica bronzes, contributions, and proceeds from the Annual Cowboy & Cowgirl Reunion and Scholarship fundraiser. Thus far, the Montana Pro Rodeo Hall and Wall of Fame has awarded well over $250,000 in scholarship money.

     Applicants must complete the scholarship application form on or before July 1st of each year. Scholarship forms are available at the Montana High School Rodeo Association website.
