Riders
get out in beautiful country and have some fun while earning money for a worthy
cause at the annual Tough
Enough to Wear Pink of Montana Poker Ride.
The ride will be held on September 10, 2011, at Lolo Hot Springs, 12
miles west of
Participants pay $5 per hand, and get a 50% payback. Riders draw a card
for each hand purchased at checkpoints along the trail and the best hand wins. A
raffle, auction and silent auction will also benefit the organization.
Fifty percent of proceeds from the Poker Ride go to Tough Enough to Wear
Pink of Montana, which provides funding for breast cancer awareness, education,
screening, support and further diagnosis for Montana women and men.
In addition to the Poker Ride, Tough Enough to Wear Pink of Montana
fund-raising events include the “Ribbon to Rhinestones” golf tournament;
“Rope for Hope” team roping; “Chicks & Chaps” women’s rodeo
clinic; “Pink Weekend” with the Missoula Osprey baseball team; and a “Sort
Pink” celebrity team sorting.
RV or tent camping is available at Lolo Hot Springs, which also has a
