Castle Reef Enterprises is the Eagle Rigid Span buildings — your green building choice — are incredibly versatile, virtually bird-proof, and have extremely high clearance. The advantages of building a barn, storage facility, or indoor arena with wood cathedral beams include taller side walls and more room for a second story or loft. The buildings are corrosion-resistant, and work well for storing items such as salt or fertilizer.
Designed to reduce heating and cooling costs, the wood framing also has
the option of the easy installation of thick fire-resistant fiberglass
insulation and interior finishing inside the framing. Due to this design, an
owner can often save up to 50% on hazard insurance.
Frames combine three structural systems into one: truss system, laminated
beams, and a plywood box beam to enclose it all. Frames are bolted together with
a unique assembly and steel shear plates. This field assembly allows a 6,000 sq.
ft. building to to be delivered in one semi load. Roof pitches are available
from 1/12 to 12/12, and even in a Gambrel (barn) style.
Exterior finishes include metal, stucco, wood, brick, block, quoin and
corbell.
Wood structures are inherently green, as more trees are planted than are
harvested. Wood requires less energy to manufacture, and produces less
environment pollution than steel. Wood buildings are more comfortable to be in
than metal buildings, and wood is a great insulator. Take advantage of huge tax breaks on agricultural structures in 2011 by ordering now.
