Alice Trindle Riding Clinic & Private Lessons

July 2011 issue

Trainer and clinician Alice Trindle, of T & T Horsemanship, will be holding a 3-day Riding clinic that will be based upon her teachings in “Pursuing the Basics with Precision,” by utilizing focus, posture and balance, July 22-24, 2011, in Hamilton , MT.

Alice will teach preparation for the unexpected when riding by learning, or relearning, the very basics such as individual foot movement.

“They are simple concepts but not easy to learn, and help keep a horse and rider safe,” explains Alice . “When you are out on the trail and the unexpected happens, a rider and horse quickly get out of balance and out of time unless they have learned these real basics.”

Riders will also have an opportunity for one-on-one lessons with Alice on July 25 and 26 following the clinic.

Alice Trindle was born and raised on a ranch in Eastern Oregon and learned horsemanship from such greats as Tom Dorrance, Ray Hunt, Dennis Reis and Bettina Drummond.

Alice has a gift of communication with both humans and their horses. She says that she is not a “horseman” — but rather“an aspiring horseman,” who combines her understanding of “work in-hand” with classical dressage principles. Through this process, her students gain a feel for, and with, the horse; a greater understanding of the balance of movement required in the horse; and the horse develops true self-carriage with lightness.
