Homestead Horse Events, located in Stevensville , Montana , is a new equestrian facility which focuses on the needs of horse trainers, instructors and clinicians. The facility offers 300 acres of varied terrain, as well as a 120’ x 80’ outdoor arena, and a 60-foot round pen.

Owner Carolyn Mack was motivated, in part, to open Homestead Horse Events after learning from western Montana-based clinicians that their access to conducting trail riding instruction on Forest Service land was blocked if they did not hold expensive outfitters use permits.

Insured trainers and clinicians can, for a reasonable fee, use the Homestead premises to conduct clinics, such as trail riding clinics, and thereby utilize the many outdoor obstacles found in ranching and natural settings — water crossings, boggy ground, wooded areas, fallen trees, irrigation pipes, gentle slopes, tall grass, farm equipment, and encounters with deer, elk and other wildlife.

Carolyn Mack’s vision is to help trainers and clinicians achieve their horse training goals, build their businesses, and increase their clients’ satisfaction with an enriched learning experience — which will ultimately help horses.

Says Carolyn Mack, “The best horse training doesn’t always happen in a perfect square or a perfect circle with perfect footing. It happens when the horse trusts and respects the rider in a multitude of real life situations… and that’s a difficult thing to accomplish in an arena.”

Homestead Horse Events offers warm country hospitality — from showing clients where to park, offering beverages, bathroom facility, to cleaning up after the horses. Customized clinics can be arranged from simple events to those which are fully-catered.
