 Idaho Horse Park, Nampa, Idaho

Octo
ber 2011 issue

The Idaho Horse Park in Nampa, Idaho, is 110 acres devoted to horses and their owners and trainers. The facility is dedicated to equine athletes only, and is not an all-around event center.

The Idaho Horse Park offers state-of-the-art amenities with stalls for 600 horses, 11 warm water wash racks, and a modern 120,000 sq. ft. indoor arena with more than 12,000 seats.

The indoor and outdoor arenas feature first-class competition surfaces, and three warm-up arenas help everyone compete at their best. A Grand Prix jumping course and multiple show arenas offer a top-notch venue for English shows, jumpers and eventers.

For events using stock, there are 12 holding pens with connecting alleys.

“We are just better. We offer unparalleled customer service. For example, when a competitor arrives with their horses at the Park, we greet them (even at midnight), help them unload, and then bring them ice. We deliver a newspaper to them every morning, and more ice during the day,” says Katrina Lemmon, marketing manager of the Idaho Horse Park . “There is only one boss – the customer.”

A 44-space RV park hosts event participants, and people traveling with horses are also welcome to stop and stay overnight or longer. If competitors need to conduct business while at the Park, personal office spaces with wifi and meeting rooms are available.

When competitors check in, they receive a “credit card” that is good to use for every expense at the Park during their stay. — stall shavings, dining at the gourmet restaurant, after-dinner drinks at the “Stampede Rodeo Club,” or fresh hay. At checkout, a statement is given which details transactions. This is a great timesaver for trainers working for multiple owners.

The Idaho Horse Park is just off Interstate 84 has 24-hour security, and the Idaho Equine Hospital is on-site.

The Park strives to be “green,” with recycling at all trash points, a new efficient air exchange system that keeps air fresh, reduces flies and keeps the athletes comfortable, and updated compact fluorescent and LED lighting. Manure is composted and stall shavings are reused as cattle bedding.

Many top-quality horse events are held at the park all year-long. The park is located in the Idaho Center at 16200 Idaho Center Blvd, Nampa, Idaho 83687. For more information, call 208-442-3335 or visit www.idahohorsepark.com.
