Western
Hoop Buildings
The natural light and clear span construction of a Western
Hoop Buildings Winkler Structures canvas-covered building is
ideal for equestrians. With a well-ventilated and airy environment, the
buildings are also inherently cooler in summer, warmer in winter, and more
pleasing year-round than all-steel or wood buildings.
No artificial lighting is needed in the daytime, and there are no dark shadows
or corners. The canvas is quiet, even in rain, and people and horses are more
comfortable.
Western Hoop Buildings, of
Bozeman
,
Montana
, is the dealer for Winkler Structures in
Montana
,
Idaho
,
Wyoming
and
Colorado
. Owners Ken and Vicki Fraser have been in the construction business for 27
years, and had built many traditional, custom wood barns before the
Montana
dealership for Winkler Structures opened up.
Our cousin in
South Dakota
has been building Winkler Structures for years and is very enthusiastic about
them, explains Vicki. They are great buildings, and are less expensive
than a comparable steel or wood building. And, with our experience, we can
easily add in custom stalls, offices or storage in the canvas structures.
Winkler Structures has been a manufacturer of quality canvas structures in
Canada
and the
U.S.
for more than 30 years. Their trussed gable-and-arch style buildings are
manufactured of highest-quality, sun-resistant, 12-ounce, heavy-duty canvas
stretched over an engineered steel truss system that together withstands heavy
snow load and high winds. There has never been a frame failure of a Winkler
Structure due to snow, ice or wind (except tornado).
Coated with protective UV inhibitors, the canvas has a 20-year plus life
expectancy, and is easily repairable and replaceable.
Winkler makes all styles of buildings for equestrian use including riding or
training arenas, barns, round pens, and run-in shelters. They also make storage
buildings, dairy and other livestock barns, as well as commercial buildings.
The canvas buildings can be made in any size from 12 to 130 wide
by whatever length is needed. They come with a variety of options including
steel or canvas roll-up doors, Accutrack doors, or chain-hoist doors. Venting
and windows are also available, along with a full range of colors, stripes and
solids to choose from.
