SweetPro Premium Feed Supplements has introduced a new nutritional
technology to the livestock industry — a distiller’s grain-based
“super fuel” for all classes of livestock.
The technology was developed in 1991 when SweetPro’s president, Bob
Thornberg, created a way to stabilize the by-products of ethanol
manufacturing. The patented process delivers a stable product with an
18-month shelf life.
The
ethanol-making process is similar to the digestive process of a horse or
cow, and when the ethanol plant distills off the ethanol, it leaves behind
starch-free, “predigested” distiller’s grains. This predigestion
makes the product virtually 100% available for the animal’s benefit.
SweetPro products also help animals digest forage 25% more efficiently,
which means that a mature animal will eat 25% less hay or pasture. They
contain NO urea! Benefits that producers have noted include improved
